Convenient and Easy to Use

If you’re often out of the house during the day, you know the problem: The delivery person comes by, and no one’s home. As a result, the package ends up back at the post office, where you can pick it up the next day at the earliest. Our spacious metal package box, which comes standard with two separately operated compartments, offers the ideal solution. Each compartment can be equipped on-site with a special “package compartment lock” that is opened only once by the delivery person. Once the door is closed, the package can only be retrieved with a key or keycard—so it’s stored securely against theft. That’s how modern, private package delivery works today! The spacious boxes are characterized by their solid construction, custom manufacturing, and high-quality craftsmanship. They are available in a classic rust-red finish Corten steel, in rotex-polished stainless steel or in color-coated stainless steel in many RAL or DB colors. Made by Gartenmetall®.

Features of POSTALE Package Lockers

The high-quality package locker comes standard with two compartments—or four upon request. Each package compartment can be equipped with a special “package compartment lock.” This must be installed on-site and can be connected, for example, to the building’s locking system. The individual compartments are designed to accommodate packages up to a maximum size of 480x580x380 mm. The doors operate smoothly and open to the right (DIN standard) as standard. Optionally, the metal boxes can also be equipped with a greenable plant roof and a door with a perforated grille to add visual interest and improve ventilation.

With the following options, you can customize your package locker to exactly meet your needs. Please let us know the number of package compartments you want and the direction in which the doors open. We’d also be happy to create a stainless steel nameplate with your name engraved on it, which is flush-mounted into the door panel.

How to Use the Package Lockers

Our package locker is a special mailbox that can be used to both receive and send small packages and parcels. The principle is similar to that of a Packstation. The individual compartments of the sturdy metal box can only be opened by the recipient and the delivery person using a key or chip card. Once a package is deposited, it remains protected from unauthorized access until the owner or delivery person retrieves it. This means you can receive and even send packages even when you’re not home.

The POSTALE package locker allows packages to be received without the recipient having to be home. Before delivery, the designated package locker is ready to receive the package. The delivery person opens the locker, places the package inside, and closes the door. When used with a suitable locker lock, the locker is then locked and can be reopened with a key or keycard to retrieve the package.
In its standard version, POSTALE is a package box with separate compartments and not a traditional mailbox with a letter slot. If you’d like to store letters and packages in a single unit at your building’s entrance, you can opt for a CASA metal garden mailbox column with an additional package compartment instead. This allows you to combine both functions in a single column.
Each compartment in the POSTALE package box is designed to accommodate packages up to approximately 480 × 580 × 380 mm. The documented standard box measures 670 mm in width, 650 mm in depth, and 1,170 mm in height on the outside. This is because there are various package compartment locks, as well as key and keycard systems, available on the market. The package box can be customized to fit the selected system. You should therefore specify the desired package compartment lock before placing your order so that the necessary adjustments can be made during manufacturing.
POSTALE is available in three finish options: Corten steel with a natural rust finish, stainless steel with a Rotex finish, and color-coated stainless steel. The color-coated version offers a wide selection of RAL and DB colors. This allows the package box to be coordinated in terms of material and color with, for example, garden gates, mailbox posts, or other metal elements in the entryway.
Point foundations provided by the customer are required for the freestanding POSTALE package box. The necessary subgrade and the location of the foundations should therefore be taken into account when planning the entrance area. This is particularly important for existing paved areas, because the installation location, door opening, and foundation should be determined together.
For the Corten steel version, Gartenmetall uses weather-resistant S355J2W+N structural steel; the visible surfaces are pre-rusted for aesthetic purposes. However, especially in the first few years, a small amount of rust may still flake off the surface. The location should therefore be planned so that rust-containing runoff can drain away in a controlled manner and, as far as possible, does not discolor sensitive adjacent surfaces.
Yes. POSTALE is designed as a metal box for long-term use outdoors and in entryways; the stored packages are protected from the elements and unauthorized access inside the closed compartments.
