Accessories for Fire Baskets

To ensure nothing goes wrong when lighting the fire, we recommend placing a stainless steel coaster underneath. This protects your patio flooring from ash stains and also prevents the fire basket from rusting on delicate surfaces. If you’d like to grill on your VESUV fire basket, you can order a stainless steel grill grate to go with it. It has small adjustable feet and can be easily placed on top of the fire bowl.

Gift idea for special occasions

We craft the fire basket as a completely personalized, one-of-a-kind gift: featuring your logo, name, or club crest. To laser-cut the outlines, we need a so-called DXF file. We’d be happy to create this file based on your template or sketch.

Frequently Asked Questions About the VESUV Fire Basket

The VESUV is a square metal fire pit designed for burning wood. It is used as an open fire pit on patios and in gardens, providing light and warmth. With the stainless steel grill grate (sold separately), the VESUV can also be used for grilling.
The currently listed VESUV models are 740 mm high and have a square base measuring 345 × 345 mm. The material thickness is 2 mm. Depending on the model, the documented weight is 16 or 17 kg.
The currently listed standard VESUV models are manufactured from weather-resistant Corten steel S355J2W+N with material number 1.8965. The visible surfaces are delivered with a pre-rusted finish. With Corten steel, rust may flake off the surface, particularly in the first few years, which should be taken into account when selecting the installation site.
Yes. Gartenmetall can customize the VESUV fire basket with personalized text, numbers, or your own design. A laser-cuttable DXF file is required for the laser-cut outlines; alternatively, Gartenmetall can prepare the data based on a suitable template or sketch. For logos and club crests, existing intellectual property rights must be taken into account.
The VESUV is designed for burning wood. Gartenmetall recommends using only dry firewood in fire pits. Other fuels should not be used without the manufacturer's express approval.
Yes. The VESUV is designed to be used with a separately available, laser-cut stainless steel grill grate. It measures 350 × 350 mm and has four adjustable legs for placing it on top of the fire pit. This allows the VESUV to be used as a grill in addition to its function as a fire pit.
Gartenmetall recommends using a coaster when placing the product on patio slabs, especially for the Corten steel version. The matching stainless steel coaster measures 390 × 390 mm and protects the patio surface from rust particles; the technical product information also recommends it as heat protection.
The VESUV must be set up on a level, fire-resistant surface at a sufficient distance from buildings. The fire must not be left unattended. It must be extinguished in the event of strong winds or flying sparks. Gartenmetall also recommends using dry firewood and strongly advises against using fire accelerants such as rubbing alcohol when lighting fires.
VESUV is designed as a compact, portrait-oriented fire basket with a base measuring 345 × 345 mm and a height of 740 mm. TROJA, on the other hand, is a line of lower-profile fire pits featuring a round fire bowl and a significantly wider range of sizes and configuration options. If you’re looking for a sleek fire basket with an optional design, the VESUV offers this design; for larger fire pits and additional feature options, TROJA is the more extensive product family.
