LEOGANG as a Metal Water Tap Column or Water Inlet Column

With LEOGANG, the intended water flow determines the appropriate version. As a metal water tap column, LEOGANG is suitable wherever a permanent water point is required for watering, filling or cleaning. The slim column is connected to the on-site water supply and provides a permanently installed garden water point. The brass tap remains easily accessible, while the connection and pipework are protected inside the column.

As a metal water inlet column, LEOGANG is the right choice when water from an AQUA LINEA water basin or water feature is to be returned via a pump circuit. The side outlet directs the water back into a basin, channel or water feature, creating a calm and controlled flow. Depending on the project, LEOGANG can therefore be integrated either as a functional water tap column or as a designed fountain inlet in private gardens and professionally planned outdoor spaces.

Further designs for water routing can be found in our metal water and fountain inlets.

Plan Materials, Water Connection and Installation to Suit the Project

LEOGANG is available in Corten steel, stainless steel and colour-coated finishes. This allows the water column to be coordinated with water basins, edging systems, paving and other metal elements in the outdoor space. Corten steel creates a warm, distinctive accent with its characteristic weathered surface, stainless steel has a more restrained and technically precise appearance, while the colour-coated version can be matched to existing colour schemes and design concepts. When selecting the material, the visual effect, site conditions, adjacent surfaces and future maintenance requirements should all be taken into account. With Corten steel, for example, potential rust run-off should be considered and controlled from the outset.

The 850 mm high column has a cross-section of 120 × 120 mm. A removable rear panel provides access for inspection and maintenance. The welded base plate is used to secure the column to a suitable foundation. In the water tap version, LEOGANG is prepared for an on-site 3/4-inch domestic water connection. Rounded folded edges, welded joints and flush-ground surfaces ensure clean transitions and a clear, reduced design.

Frequently Asked Questions About the LEOGANG Water Tap Column

As a water tap column, LEOGANG serves as a permanently installed water point and is connected to a pressurised water supply, for example the domestic water system. The water inlet column, by contrast, operates as part of a pump circuit: water is pumped from a basin or pond to the column and returned through the side outlet.

The water tap column is fitted with a brass tap with a 3/4-inch external thread and is prepared for connection to a pressurised water supply. The connection to the on-site water system is carried out on site.

The water inlet version is fitted with the ELLMAU stainless steel inlet pipe. The pump, hose and required fittings are also included with this version. The pump is positioned in the water basin, water trough or pond and circulates the water back to the column.
LEOGANG is available in Corten steel, stainless steel and colour-coated finishes. This allows the water tap column or water inlet column to be coordinated with water basins, planters, edging systems and other metal elements in the outdoor space.

LEOGANG is designed for permanent ground installation. The base plate is bolted to the prepared substrate or foundation. A removable rear access panel provides access to the internal water connections for installation and maintenance.

With Corten steel, rust run-off can occur, particularly while the characteristic weathered surface is developing. The installation should therefore be planned so that rainwater and rust run-off can drain in a controlled manner without affecting adjacent paving or other surfaces.
