Where other fountains stop, the AQUA FONTIS series begins: Spring fountains in stainless steel or Corten steel up to XXL size. The installation takes place in a stable and large-volume, hot-dip galvanised water collection vessel with integrated adjustment option. The scope of delivery includes all the material necessary for installation: Spring fountain, hot-dip galvanised water collection vessel, high-quality pump and LED spring stone lighting.

The compact spring fountains can be set up easily and quickly and are therefore also suitable as eye-catchers for trade fairs, for example. Simply set it up level, fill it with water and connect it to the power supply – done.

A favorite piece for fairs, but also for front gardens or smaller gardens is the spring fountain without edge. It can be set up quickly and is immediately ready for use when filled with water. Since we manufacture the spring fountains ourselves, the dimensions can be made according to your wishes on material and dimension. As standard, we supply cubes with a square cross-section of 300 x 300 mm² or 500 x 500 mm² and graduated heights up to 1,200 mm. The hot-dip galvanized cover plate can be covered with decorative gravel.

Spring fountain AQUA FONTIS as trilogy

Why put only a single fountain, when three are much nicer! There are two different trilogies from the AQUA FONTIS series. In the SIENA spring fountain trilogy, three individual water columns are placed at graduated heights on a water collection vessel. Each column has its own water outlet, which is visually emphasized by LED lighting at the source outlet. The water runs down the cubes and collects in the hot-dip galvanized water collection basin below.

In the trilogy CAPRI three columns, also of different heights, were welded together. Thus, the trilogy can be set up and adjusted in just a few steps. The water is pumped up from the water collection vessel via a pond pump and exits at the highest column. From there, it cascades down and collects in the round GRP basin. Again, each cube has LED lighting to make it really sparkle. In both cases, the water collection vessel can be buried and visually covered with decorative gravel.

If the water collection vessel is to be installed at ground level and not buried, we recommend visually cladding the hot-dip galvanized vessel or the round GRP basin. Our claddings are available in Corten steel, stainless steel and made of color-coated stainless steel.

Frequently asked questions about the AQUA FONTIS spring fountain

AQUA FONTIS is a spring fountain with a rectangular water column. A pump draws the water from the collection tank to the outlet at the top of the column. From there, it flows back down the metal surface to the collection tank. The water flow can be adjusted using a flow regulator. A warm white LED light is fitted directly at the water outlet.
The fountains are available in Corten steel, stainless steel and colour-coated stainless steel. For the Corten steel version, Gartenmetall uses weather-resistant S355J2W+N structural steel with visually pre-rusted exposed surfaces. The choice of material primarily influences the surface finish, colour appearance and the subsequent maintenance requirements.
The standard models range from compact columns with a base area of 300 x 300 mm to variants 1,200 mm high. There is also a version with a base area of 500 x 500 mm and a height of 500 mm. Custom dimensions can be requested on a project-by-project basis. This allows the proportions of the water column to be adapted to front gardens, patios, entrance areas or larger open spaces.
With the AQUA FONTIS, the water collection tank is recessed into the ground and installed flush with the future top edge of the soil or paving. The fountain column is then precisely aligned using the integrated adjustment screws. The pump, flow regulator and lighting are already integrated into the system. 

A hot-dip galvanised cover plate sits over the collection tank, which can be covered on site with decorative gravel or decorative stones. Two power connections are required for the pump and lighting. Once filled, the water flow is adjusted via the flow regulator so that the water runs evenly over the fountain column. 

The specific construction of the sub-base and the excavation pit depends on the installation situation and must be planned on site.
The AQUA FONTIS is supplied as a fully functional fountain system. Depending on the model, the scope of delivery includes the water column, the water collection tank, the pump, a flow regulator, suitable hoses and fittings, and the LED lighting at the water outlet. Adjustment screws allow the column to be aligned precisely. Decorative gravel for the cover is to be provided by the customer.
The water-wet surfaces of Corten steel must be allowed to dry out completely on a regular basis. Gartenmetall recommends switching off the pump at least once a week. A timer makes it easier to maintain this schedule. The drying phase is necessary to allow the barrier layer – typical of weather-resistant structural steel – to be maintained or reformed. 

The drainage of rust water should also be taken into account at the planning stage. Particularly in the first few years, material may flake off the Corten steel surface and discolour adjacent light-coloured surfaces.

Its compact design makes it suitable for front gardens, terraces, entrance areas and smaller green spaces, amongst other places. The spring fountain can also be used in public spaces or for temporary displays and trade fairs. According to the product documentation, it can be installed both indoors and outdoors. The key factors are a suitable base, the planned water flow and a safely installed electrical connection.
The pump and lighting have separate power connections. Therefore, two sockets must be provided at the installation site. The components are supplied with cables and Schuko plugs. When planning the installation, care should also be taken to ensure that the pump, flow regulator and connections remain accessible for maintenance work.
Yes. With SIENA and CAPRI, there are two Trilogy models available, each featuring three columns of different heights. In the SIENA model, three individual blocks of varying heights – 300, 600 and 900 mm – stand on a shared water collection tank. In the CAPRI model, the three columns are joined to form a single unit, and the water cascades down from the tallest column. These multi-column systems are suitable for situations where a single water column would appear too small from a design perspective.
AQUA FONTIS can be combined with the AQUA LINEA fountain system as a spring feed. Height-adjustable substructures are provided for this purpose, allowing the water column to be adjusted to the height of the respective water trough. For planners and landscaping contractors, this opens up the possibility of using AQUA FONTIS not only as a stand-alone spring fountain, but also as a water inlet within a larger fountain installation.
