RONDA - Planter rings

The round planters RONDA are designed for free-standing solitary plantings with shrubs and smaller woody plants. They are available with a surrounding rim and in the "solid" version with a sharp edge. Thanks to the rounding, both versions are dimensionally stable. Larger planting rings with a diameter of more than ø240 cm are produced in 2 parts.

Stable shape for trees and shrubs

The round must go into the round! Large metal planting rings RONDA are designed for free-standing specimen plantings such as trees, larger shrubs, but also for a classic raised bed planting. Due to the round shape of the metal, the planting rings are dimensionally stable and raised beds up to over 900 mm high are possible. By default, the planting rings are made of 3 mm thick metal(Corten steel, stainless steel or color-coated stainless steel), in case of higher requirements, they can be made of 5 mm thick sheet metal.

Note: We manufacture planting rings with a diameter larger ø240 cm in 2 parts. This saves transport costs and makes handling on the construction site much easier. In addition, this allows the rings to be placed around existing trees. At the separated point, however, certain dimensional and shape deviations always occur due to the manufacturing process and the ring loses stability.

Filling metal planting rings

The planting ring RONDA with surrounding edge is made of 3 mm thick material. Due to a 60 mm thick bevel on the upper edge, the raised bed is inherently stable. From a diameter of ø240 cm we recommend to manufacture the rings in 2 parts to reduce transport costs. In this case, the connection is øsimilarly stable and simple as with the proven TERRESTA screw system. The production is made to order. Therefore, intermediate dimensions are well possible.

Planting ring RONDA Solid

The metal planting ring RONDA MASSIVE is made of 3-5 mm thick material and without a surrounding edge. Here, too, we recommend for transport reasons and to simplify handling on the construction site to manufacture the ring in 2 parts, the planting ring should exceed a diameter of ø240 mm überschreiten. Depending on the height and diameter, we reserve the right to weld inside a reinforcing ring or ring segments with a width of about 50 mm, so that the shape, especially at the end, can be kept stable. This ring is not visible in the befüllten state.

Accessories for planting rings RONDA

For better fixation, the large metal planting rings can be driven into the ground with flat iron anchors. For corten steel rings, corten steel anchors are best used, and for stainless steel planting rings, stainless steel flat iron anchors. These are not visible afterwards, but disappear completely into the ground. Per planting ring, 4 to 8 flat iron anchors with the practical receiving slot are recommended.
