CORA - Garden steles

The CORA garden steles are narrow metal steles that can be inserted into the ground at any point. The motifs are visual eye-catchers and spread atmospheric messages in the garden. The floor stand with angled foot is particularly suitable for trade fairs.

The slender CORA decorative steles made of metal bring a touch of sensuality and contemplation to your garden, front yard, or even on company grounds, in parklands, and in front of community centers. We offer designs with sayings such as “Welcome,” “Happiness,” “Love,” and “Joy,” as well as—inspired by our designs from the  VISTA privacy screen series  — plant motifs such as grasses and flowers. Thanks to our in-house production, we can also quickly and easily create your custom lettering, house numbers, or even company and club logos.

Thanks to their two feet, the decorative stakes are inserted about 20 cm deep into the ground and can thus be easily repositioned as needed. If you prefer greater stability, you can also set the metal garden stakes—made of Corten steel, stainless steel, or color-coated stainless steel—in concrete.

CORA is also available as a freestanding display. In this version, CORA is an ideal display for trade shows, show gardens, or your entryway—featuring your logo and/or name, of course.

Designs for the CORA Garden Stele

Our CORA garden steles are available with words such as “calm,” “peace,” “happiness,” and “joy,” as well as with various plant motifs. We’d also be happy to create a completely personalized design for you. All steles are 1,380 mm high and 300 mm wide as standard and weigh approximately 8 kg. All edges are curved in a C-shape. This prevents injuries and ensures sufficient stability.

Installation of the Decorative Posts

Depending on the soil conditions and installation situation, the decorative posts are inserted or driven into the ground to a depth of at least 20 cm. To do this, place a piece of wood on top of the stele so that it does not bend from the blows of the rubber mallet. In cases of higher stress, e.g., due to wind or when located near children, the steles should also be set in concrete using point foundations.

Frequently Asked Questions About the CORA Motif Stele

The CORA decorative stele is a slender, laser-cut metal garden stele. It is used as a design element to accentuate and define paths, flower beds, entryways, front yards, or other outdoor spaces. In addition to private gardens, Gartenmetall also lists company grounds, landscaped gardens, and areas in front of community centers as potential applications.

CORA is available as a decorative stele made of Corten steel, stainless steel, or color-coated stainless steel. The Corten steel version is pre-rusted on the visible sides; for stainless steel garden objects, Gartenmetall uses, among other finishes, matte Rotex-polished surfaces. For color-coated CORA versions, custom colors are also available for an additional charge.

The standard CORA insertable display stand is 1,380 mm high, 300 mm wide, and 15 mm deep. According to the latest technical product information, it weighs approximately 7 to 8 kg, depending on the design. The floor stand is 1,000 mm high and 300 mm wide; its base plate is 300 mm deep. Additional designs and custom sizes are available upon request.

Yes. In addition to pre-designed word and plant motifs, Gartenmetall offers custom lettering, house numbers, and company and club logos for CORA. This allows the motif stele to be tailored, for example, to an entrance area, a model garden, a company, or a specific project. For protected logos and trademarks, the respective rights of use must be taken into account.
A suitable DXF file is provided for laser-cutting your own CORA design. If the design is only available as a PDF, TIF, or EPS file, Gartenmetall can create a DXF file from it on a time-and-materials basis, according to the technical product information. Therefore, whether a specific design can be technically implemented should be confirmed before production begins.
The CORA decorative post is driven at least 200 mm deep into the ground. When driving it into the ground, Gartenmetall recommends placing a piece of wood on top of the post to prevent it from being damaged or bent by the blows of the rubber mallet. Depending on soil conditions and load—for example, in areas exposed to strong winds or where children play—the anchoring should be further reinforced with point foundations.

Gartenmetall specifically mentions entryways, trade shows, and model gardens as places where it can be used; with a custom name or logo, the display can also serve as a company sign in these locations.
CORA is primarily a slim decorative panel featuring motifs and designs, not a traditional, flat privacy screen. For those specifically seeking privacy or wind protection, Gartenmetall offers the VISTA decorative panels, which feature larger surfaces, dedicated mounting systems, and a design specifically engineered for this purpose. Individual plant motifs from the CORA collection are stylistically inspired by the VISTA series.
The Corten steel version of CORA is pre-rusted on the visible sides. Gartenmetall notes that, especially in the first few years, up to 0.05 mm of rust may flake off the surface. The installation site should therefore be planned so that rust particles and rust-containing water can drain away properly—especially if there are sensitive adjacent surfaces. The characteristic Corten steel patina continues to develop as it is exposed to alternating wet and dry weather conditions.
Stainless steel should also be regularly cleaned of deposits and dirt. Gartenmetall recommends gentle cleaning for light soiling; abrasive cleaners are not suitable because they can scratch the surface. Paint-coated CORA steles can be cleaned with mild soap and water and a soft sponge or cloth; harsh or abrasive cleaning agents should not be used.
