FANO Power Outlet Columns for the Garden

A great addition to other metal garden products

The FANO power strip is an extremely useful addition to your garden and patio, as this permanently installed power source can supply power to all your electrical devices. In addition, FANO is a great visual complement to other Gartenmetall garden products and matches them in terms of material, shape, and dimensions, such as the  LUMINI outdoor lights, particularly the simple COMO garden light.

The garden outlet with a sealed housing is available with 2 to 5 outlets. The outlets meet the IP44 protection rating for outdoor use and are protected from rain by plastic covers. The housing measures 140x70 mm; custom dimensions are available. The housing is secured either by driving two ground stakes into the ground or by screwing it onto a level and stable surface. Please order ground stakes separately!

The power cable can be routed from the bottom or from the back. The connection must be made only by a licensed electrician. High-quality housing made by Gartenmetall®.

FANO Power Outlet Columns for the Garden

The power outlet columns are available as standard with 2-outlet, 3-outlet, and 5-outlet configurations. The housing cross-section is 140 mm x 70 mm for all models. This means the slim columns fit even in the smallest niches. The 2-outlet model is 300 mm tall, the 3-outlet model is 600 mm tall, and the 5-outlet column is 900 mm tall—similar to the LUMINI outdoor lights.

All garden outlets are available in rust-red Corten steel, rotex-polished stainless steel, and in color-coated versions according to the RAL color chart.

Ground stakes for securing the unit to the ground

The power strip columns can be screwed onto a stable surface using the elongated holes on the sides (2x ø29x9 mm). Alternatively, ground stakes can be used, which can either be driven into the ground or set in concrete for added stability.

Frequently Asked Questions About the FANO Power Strip

Yes. The outlets on the FANO power column meet the IP44 protection rating and are equipped with hinged covers. IP44 means protection against solid foreign objects with a diameter greater than 1 mm and against splashing water. Nevertheless, the column must be installed in accordance with the specifications for outdoor installations and must not be placed on a wet surface.
On the current product family page, FANO is offered by default with 2, 3, or 5 Schuko outlets. The corresponding heights are 300 mm, 600 mm, and 900 mm. For precise design planning, the dimensions of the selected item should be used.
FANO is screwed into place on a suitable, solid surface using the side mounting tabs. For lawns, flower beds, or other areas with soil, a ground spike (sold separately) is provided, which can be driven into the ground or set in concrete for a more secure anchor. The ground spike is approximately 300 mm long and comes with the appropriate mounting screws.

With the FANO power strip, the power cable can be routed into the housing from the bottom or from the back. The electrical connection must be made on-site and may only be performed by a licensed electrician. The outlet inserts are pre-assembled; however, the power strip is not installed as a fully wired, plug-and-play device.

The installation instructions specify a 220–240 V AC power supply at 50/60 Hz for FANO. According to the declaration of conformity, Schuko safety outlets with a flip-top cover, a rated current of 16 A, and a rated voltage of 250 V are used. The design of the power supply line and the associated electrical circuit is the responsibility of the qualified electrician performing the work.
The power strip must be securely mounted on a stable, level, and tip-resistant surface. The manufacturer specifies a permissible ambient temperature range of −20 to +40 °C. The base of the power strip must remain free of soil, leaves, and dirt; furthermore, the installation location should be chosen so as to avoid any risk of tripping or bumping into it.
Yes. Gartenmetall explicitly notes that discoloration of adjacent surfaces is possible with products featuring a rose gold finish. This should be taken into account during site and detailed planning, particularly when dealing with light-colored pavers, natural stone, or other sensitive surfaces.
Yes. Custom dimensions for the FANO power strip are available upon request. In addition to Corten steel and rotex-polished stainless steel, a color-coated version is also offered; numerous RAL colors are available for this option.
Before cleaning or maintenance, the power strip must be disconnected from the power source. For FANO models with a painted finish, Gartenmetall recommends using water and mild soap, as well as soft sponges or cloths; harsh or abrasive cleaning agents should be avoided. Fertilizers, road salt, and other chemicals can also damage the surface and should be taken into account when selecting a location and performing maintenance.
