ECO-LINER - path edging strips

ECO-LINER metal lawn edgings are a simple and inexpensive option for neatly routing paths and edging beds and planting areas. They are available in standard lengths of 200 cm and 300 cm. They can be quickly and easily cut to the right length on site.

Metal path edging strips and lawn edgings

Low-priced ECO-LINER

The ECO-LINER path edging strips are a simple and cost-effective option for gardening and landscaping as well as for road construction and civil engineering. The path edging tapes are used in public areas, for example for path edging or bed edging in parks and squares. But even in private gardens, the bands of corten steel or other types of metal can quickly and easily draw clear boundaries.

In contrast to the EASY-LINER way limitation system, there are practically no variants of the ECO-LINER. The prefabricated flat material is supplied from stock in lengths of 200 cm and 300 cm. On the construction site, the metal strips are simply cut to the appropriate length using a cutting disc or metal saw. Our flat iron anchors can be used for fastening. These are hammered into the floor and thus fix the metal strip securely and stably at the desired depth.

Standard dimension of the steel edging bands

In favor of a low price and the possibility of delivery from stock, metal lawn edgings are limited in dimensions and materials, unlike EASY-LINERS. In stock we have two standard lengths 200 cm and 300 cm, which can be cut to size on site. Note: For sheet thickness 2 mm, the liner length is 1,920 mm instead of 2,000 mm for technical reasons. However, there are numerous variants for the heights and the material thickness. The exact dimensions can be found in the product information. .

As a rule, the strips can be bent manually: With a sheet thickness of 3 mm, radii > 300 cm can be bent by hand. With a sheet thickness of 2 mm, even radii > 100 cm are possible!

Tip: Snail protection with corten steel LINERS

Did you know that corten steel is an almost insurmountable obstacle for snails? Rust contains small amounts of copper, but it is sufficient to prevent snails from crawling further. This results in the ideal use of corten steel LINER as a vegetable bed.

Installation and installation tips for path delimitation strips

The installation of the lawn edges is very simple. The metal edges – whether made of Corten steel, steel or in hot-dip galvanized design – can be cut to the appropriate length directly on site. Hot-dip galvanized LINER must be sealed at the cut edge with zinc covering spray. For driving in the LINER should be laid as protection of the upper edge of an intermediate timber.

Flat iron anchor with receiving slot

The flat iron anchors for plugging serve to fix the Bänder stable in the ground. Per 100 cm we recommend the use of one anchor. The anchors are made of high-quality Corten steel or stainless steel, precision beveled and with pretension for the liners to be clamped. There are two different shapes of flat iron anchors: for straight lines and for outside corners. Attention: The flat iron anchors are copyrighted!

The advantages of the anchors are mainly that a precise pre-planning for the assembly is no longer necessary. One fährt with a „box“ flat iron anchors, a „stack“ liners and a cut-off machine (Flex) to the construction site and simply builds off.

Anchor for straight lines and corners

The flat iron anchor für straight lines offers a stable receiving slot, which fixes the path delimitation tape stably. It is fixed in the ground together with the LINER. Plate thickness flat iron anchor: 3 mm.

There are numerous ways to fasten the ECO-LINERs in the ground using flat iron anchors. The following examples will give you ideas on how the installation can be done quickly and easily in practice.

Difference of the path delimitation bands

ECO-LINER and EASY-LINER

Whoever is primarily concerned with price and delivery time should choose the ECO-LINER system. Unlike the EASY-LINERS, there are hardly any variants here. Prefabricated lawn edgings and path bordering bänder made of normal structural steel, corten steel or hot-dip galvanized steel can be delivered immediately from stock and adjusted to length on site with a cutting disc or metaläge. The fastening in the ground is done with local point foundations and flat iron anchors for plugging.
