A highlight for the high-quality garden is the freestanding garden sauna ALPIN. It impresses with large panoramic windows, a simple metal facade made of patinated Corten steel or Color-coated stainless steel and a smooth-running glass door. Frequently asked questions about wellness and relaxation in the garden
A hot tub requires a suitable location and a planned drainage system. For a garden shower, the water supply, drainage and frost protection must be sorted out. And with garden furniture made of Corten steel, the ground surface also plays a part in determining whether the characteristic rusted finish can be used effectively at the intended location.
Anyone planning a wellness area in their garden should therefore not start with the aesthetics, but with usage, location and technical requirements. Gartenmetall combines these requirements with metal garden features: from the AQUA LUND hot tub and the AQUA SHOWER garden showers, through the FELICE wavy lounger, to the ROMAN round garden bar.
The product range includes a variety of items designed for relaxation and spending time outdoors. The AQUA LUND hot tub can be used for bathing, as a heated hot tub or as a plunge pool. AQUA SHOWER complements pool, sauna and terrace areas with a permanently installed garden shower. With its curved lounging surface, FELICE creates a permanent place to relax. The round ROMAN garden bar serves a different purpose: it creates a central meeting point for drinks, hospitality and spending time together in the garden.
The key factors are the location, intended use and the necessary connections. When installing a hot tub, factors such as the installation area, delivery, water filling and drainage must be taken into account. An outdoor shower requires a suitable water supply and a solution for the shower water. For sun loungers and bar counters, space requirements, access routes and the existing ground surface play a more significant role.
If you decide on these points at an early stage, you can select materials, dimensions and fittings in a much more targeted manner.
A range of garden metal products is available in Corten steel, stainless steel and colour-coated finishes. The most suitable finish depends on the location and the desired appearance.
When exposed to the elements, Corten steel develops its characteristic patina of noble rust. Stainless steel offers a subtle metallic finish. Powder-coated finishes allow you to coordinate them with the architecture, patio surfaces or other garden features.
Yes, although the specific installation situation should be taken into account. Particular care must be taken with sensitive patio surfaces to allow for the potential run-off of rust particles. For the FELICE wavy lounger, for example, it is therefore recommended that Corten steel be placed on grass, gravel or another surface where rust run-off is not a concern. For delicate patio surfaces, stainless steel may be the more suitable choice of material.
In the case of products that carry water, additional design measures are taken to ensure that standing water does not come into unprotected contact with Corten steel.
AQUA LUND is a metal hot tub with an integrated bench and can be fitted with a traditional underwater wood-burning stove. Models are available with internal diameters of 1.690 mm and 1.860 mm, amongst others. In the version with a wood-burning stove, when filled to 80 per cent capacity, this corresponds to approximately 1.150 or 1.500 litres of water and space for around two to three or two to five people, respectively.
The wood-burning stove is made of stainless steel and, according to the product information, takes around two to four hours to heat up, depending on the ambient temperature.
Yes. As well as the hot tub with a built-in wood-burning stove, AQUA LUND is also available without heating as a plunge pool or family pool. Another version features a wraparound bench and is designed to be connected to an external heating system on site.
This allows you to choose the model depending on whether the pool is to be used, for example, for cooling off after a sauna, for swimming in the summer, or with additional heating.
Before placing an order, it is particularly important to clarify the installation area, access to the garden and drainage. AQUA LUND is delivered fully assembled and, due to its metal construction, has a significant weight. Transport to the intended location must therefore be taken into account at the planning stage.
The drainage system is equally important: if the hot tub is to be completely emptied, the drainage must be suitably prepared beneath or at the planned location.
The AQUA SHOWER VILLACH garden shower is designed with connections for hot and cold water. The pressurised water installation must be carried out on site by a qualified plumbing contractor. The kit includes a stainless steel shower fitting with a mixer tap, a rain shower head and a hand shower head, as well as – depending on the model – a water collection tray with a floor drain.
Optional extras include, for example, a foot-operated tap or an additional tap for a garden hose.
Yes. The fittings and pipework of the AQUA SHOWER VILLACH are not frost-proof. Before the first frost, the water supply must be shut off and the pipes completely drained. Fittings and valves should then be left open; any residual water should be removed from the pipes.
This point should be taken into account at the planning stage to ensure that the water-carrying system remains easily accessible for maintenance and winter preparation.
The AQUA SHOWER VILLACH combines a shower and a wall panel. This panel serves as the mounting base for the plumbing system whilst also providing side privacy. The pipes are routed within the structure; access for maintenance is at the rear.
This allows the shower to be integrated as a fixed feature in pool, sauna or terrace areas without the need to route the entire water installation visibly.
With FELICE, the lying surface rests on longitudinally arranged, ergonomically shaped RESYSTA® slats. The slats are screwed in place from below, so that no screw heads are visible on the lying surface.
As well as single and double loungers for private gardens, there is a more robust version for public areas. Among other features, this version has mounting brackets for anchoring to the ground and a closed back panel.
The RESYSTA® top is designed to withstand outdoor weathering and, according to Gartenmetall, can be left on a patio or open space all year round. When choosing the metal frame, the location should also be taken into account – particularly if Corten steel is to be placed on a delicate floor surface.
The ROMAN is available in the current product range with external diameters of 1.800 mm and 2.400 mm, amongst others. Both versions are 1,200 mm high. The top shelf is 450 mm wide; inside, there is also a shelf 400 mm deep.
The counter is available in Corten steel, stainless steel and colour-coated finishes. Customised dimensions can be requested.
