We offer most properties in Corten steel  —also known as weather-resistant structural steel or “noble rust”—with its rust-red patina, as well as in stainless steel or in color-coated stainless steel in RAL or DB colors. Hot-dip galvanized items are also available. On the following pages, you’ll discover the range of metal garden features we offer. Celebrating with Family and Friends – ELBA and IBIZA Garden Kitchens

A metal outdoor kitchen is the ultimate dream for many garden lovers and hobby chefs. Our garden kitchens  ELBA and IBIZA feature a modular design, allowing individual cabinet units to be arranged to create the desired size. The drawers are equipped with soft-close mechanisms and are easy to use; alternatively, hinged or swing doors are available. The countertop of the metal kitchen is custom-made from black NERO ASSOLUTO granite to fit perfectly. As accessories, we offer a built-in gas grill and a stainless steel sink with faucet, as well as LED lighting—all designed to meet the highest standards. To seal Corten steel kitchens, the rust-red surface can be treated with ROST-PROTECT® . The natural oil binds the free rust particles and, much like a clear coat, seals the Corten steel surface.

You'll love walking through it – PORTA Garden Door

The garden gates in the PORTA consist, in the standard version (Type 1), of a solid door panel mounted between two metal posts. The front and back are visually identical. In Type 2, the door panel is constructed as a load-bearing frame, with the frame visible on the back. The door panel can be customized with designs such as house numbers or names: either as applied elements, e.g., made of stainless steel, or laser-cut. The designs from the VISTA Decorative Panels are ideal for this purpose. For laser-cut designs, the door panel can remain open on the back so that light shines through, or it can be backed with colored acrylic glass, for example. As accessories for PORTA garden doors, Gartenmetall® offers door hardware with handle sets or knobs, locks, pull bars, electric door openers, and support wheels for swing doors. Door locks are installed on-site. The garden doors are available in the standard sizes 900 x 1,000 mm and 1,800 x 1,000 mm. We’re happy to accommodate custom sizes!

A Safe Ascent – with the RAILING from Gartenmetall®

For fall heights exceeding one meter, safety measures must be installed by law.& nbsp;Railings  provide safety and support in the garden and on the patio. For many years, Gartenmetall® has been supplying plug-in stainless steel railing elements with round posts—the BUNIA system—that can be installed easily and simply in private gardens, usually without welding. Since every installation situation is unique, we assist homeowners with the planning and installation of modern and sturdy railings. 

For public spaces and the associated higher requirements for stability and rigidity, the LAVAL system with flat posts has been developed. Typical finishes for the railing posts here are Corten steel or stainless steel. The round handrail is always finished in polished stainless steel. The railing elements can be filled with crossbars, perforated metal, or glass panels, thereby providing additional safety on stairways, terraces, and walkways. Installation takes place on a level, stable surface.

The mail carrier will be happy—CASA freestanding mailbox

Our freestanding mailbox column CASA can do more than just receive letters. CASA features one or more spacious mailboxes, with an optional newspaper tube and a separate package compartment. In addition, when equipped with a doorbell, intercom, fingerprint sensor, and video surveillance, the mailbox becomes a modern communication kiosk and serves as the first point of contact with the residents. The metal entryway column can be customized with the house number, street name, and name, and can be beautifully highlighted with lighting. It is set in concrete in the ground or bolted to a sturdy foundation. Additional options are custom-designed and manufactured—ask for a solution tailored to your construction project.

Plenty of Storage Space – GARBAGE CAN AND BIKE SHELTERS

Where can you put unsightly garbage cans, bikes, strollers, or bulky garden tools? Our new, spacious garbage can and bicycle storage units made of high-quality Corten steel, stainless steel, or powder-coated steel provide the ideal storage space while also enhancing the appearance of your entryway.

Depending on its size, the ZITTAU metal trash can enclosure can accommodate trash cans with capacities of 120 liters, 140 liters, and 240 liters. It opens from the front via a hinged door and is delivered fully assembled—including a safety cable and a high-quality, lockable handle. The roof of the trash can enclosure can be landscaped with plants, allowing it to blend harmoniously into the front yard. Alternatively, the enclosure can be equipped with a hinged roof that opens from the top, making it easy to load trash. Additional options are available upon request.

The XANTEN series of trash can and bicycle storage units are equipped with sliding doors that glide smoothly back and forth on high-quality tracks. The distinctive design and unique construction are protected by patents and design rights. XANTEN is available with two, three, or four sliding doors, accommodating a maximum of two, three, or four 120-liter trash cans. The smallest unit is 1,300 mm wide (2-door) and accommodates two trash cans; the largest unit is 3,200 mm wide (also 2-door) and can hold two 1,000-liter trash cans or even three bicycles. The metal doors are opened and closed using a rotary knob. A cylinder lock can also be installed on-site and combined, for example, with the home’s locking system.

Convenient Package Receipt – POSTALE Package Lockers

The package delivery person often arrives just when no one is home. Our metal package lockers are the ideal solution: Using a special locker lock (provided by the customer), the compartments can be filled once by the delivery person and subsequently opened only with a key or keycard. This is how modern package delivery works today!

The package lockers are made of sturdy metal (Corten steel, stainless steel, color-coated stainless steel) and feature doors with folded edges on all sides. They are available in a 2-door version for smaller households or, upon request, with four doors for apartment buildings. Each parcel compartment has a volume of 480 x 580 x 380 mm³ and is therefore large enough even for larger packages. Optionally, we also supply the parcel boxes with a nameplate or a flat roof suitable for planting, matching the XANTEN trash can enclosures.

Convey your message with our CORA decorative metal steles to convey personalized messages in your garden or on your patio. In addition to our standard steles featuring words like “Welcome,” “Joy,” and “Peace,” we also offer numerous designs from the VISTA privacy screen series, such as the popular ginkgo, allium, and grass motifs. Logos for your favorite sports team or other custom requests are also possible. The metal steles are inserted into the ground or driven into it. Are you looking for unique tables or benches for your garden or patio? Then we have just what you need! Our garden furniture from the VERONA and GARDA series is made of durable and elegantly shaped Corten steel—also known as weather-resistant structural steel—stainless steel, or color-coated stainless steel. To prevent rusting on Corten steel furniture, you can treat the garden furniture with our premium rust protection  ROST-PROTECT® to prevent rusting. The surface gains color intensity and takes on an elegant, satin-matte sheen—similar to that of a clear coat. All tables and benches can be height-adjusted to compensate for uneven ground.

The curved VERONA designer benches feature a seat made of weather-resistant thermo-ash or a natural fiber composite  RESYSTA®. The VERONA table, featuring the same curved design, is a perfect match.

The GARDA outdoor furniture series features a classic design, with all corners and edges rounded and sanded smooth. The tabletop can be elegantly and effectively covered with safety glass. When it comes to metal garden features, it’s not just about shape and appearance. The choice of material, weather resistance, maintenance, installation conditions, and possible custom designs all play an equally important role in the planning process. The following answers provide guidance on Corten steel, stainless steel, and other metal finishes, and help you choose the right solution for your garden, patio, and outdoor space.

Metal garden accessories can serve both functional purposes and be used specifically to enhance the design of outdoor spaces. The GARTENMETALL® product line includes, among other items, planters, garden pillars and garden statues, tables and benches, outdoor lighting, power outlet columns, garden gates, mailbox and package delivery pillars, storage and trash can enclosures, herb spirals, and other metal objects for gardens, patios, and entryways.

A variety of sizes, shapes, and finishes are available for many applications. In addition, custom designs tailored to specific projects can be created.

Corten steel, stainless steel, and color-coated stainless steel are particularly popular for garden features. The choice of material depends on the desired look, the location, and the surface requirements.

Corten steel develops its characteristic rust-brown patina and is often used when a vibrant, natural metal surface is desired. Stainless steel has a more understated appearance and offers high corrosion resistance. Color-coated stainless steel allows for garden features in numerous RAL and DB color shades and can thus be specifically tailored to the architecture and garden design.

The most noticeable difference lies in the surface. Corten steel garden objects develop a characteristic patina of “noble rust” when exposed to the elements. Stainless steel garden objects, on the other hand, retain their metallic surface and are particularly corrosion-resistant.

GARTENMETALL® uses weather-resistant structural steel of grade S355J2W+N for Corten steel objects. When making a selection, therefore, one should consider not only the color but also which surface effect will complement the garden, patio, or surrounding architecture in the long term.

Corten steel is a weather-resistant structural steel. Under alternating wet and dry weather conditions, a protective layer forms on the surface, which is responsible for the typical rust-brown patina.

This patina does not form completely right away, but develops over a longer period of time. Especially when planning for delicate patio surfaces or paved areas, it should also be taken into account that rust particles may detach from the surface, particularly during the rusting process. The location and structural design should therefore be suited to the specific garden feature.

Garden objects made of Corten steel, stainless steel, or similarly coated metal surfaces are generally intended for outdoor use. However, the specific design of each product is the deciding factor.

Planters, furniture, boxes, doors, and technical garden objects each have different requirements regarding drainage, mounting, substrate, and maintenance. The instructions for each product should therefore be taken into account as early as the planning and installation stages.

Maintenance requirements depend on the surface finish selected. Corten steel develops its patina through weathering and does not require a traditional paint finish. Stainless steel should be cleaned of deposits and foreign particles to ensure the surface remains in good condition over the long term.

GARTENMETALL® also offers cleaning and care products specifically designed for certain surfaces. The appropriate care depends on the material, location, and intended use of the garden feature.

Yes. If standard dimensions or existing models are not sufficient for a project, GARTENMETALL® can also create custom designs. These can be based, for example, on dimensions, sketches, or design specifications.

This is particularly useful when a metal structure needs to be precisely tailored to existing architecture, an entryway, a patio, or a custom design concept.

The decision should not be based solely on appearance. Other important factors include the location, dimensions, material and finish, the substrate, mounting, and intended use.

For example, a planter has different structural requirements than a garden gate, a bench, or an outdoor light fixture. For larger or custom-designed garden features, it is therefore worth coordinating the material and technical specifications with the specific installation situation before placing an order.
